This needs to stop! Although the DEATH PENALTY was removed from Uganda's Anti-Homosexuality Bill, it's passage in December of last year was seen as a green light for mob violence and police brutality against homosexuals.

Religious leaders marched in Uganda to drum up yet more hate for LGBTI people and back the new anti-gay law. Pastors led people through West Budama, east Uganda, yesterday (23 March) to show the public is in favor of ‘abolishing’ homosexuality.
‘No gays everywhere’ shouted a religious leader as he marched supporters through the streets.

The Anti-Gay sentiment in Uganda is worse than the Antisemitism in Germany before the Holocaust. Anti-Gay propaganda spread by Evangelicals has led to the belief that all gay people are pedophiles and prostitutes, who are after their children and want to "recruit" all people to become gay. They think homosexuality is unnatural and un-African. Homosexuals are being used as a scapegoat for all of Uganda's problems. Paul Shinners, a Cambridgeshire, UK based Evangelical pastor and charity owner has frequently visited Uganda for a decade and during his latest trip he stood on stage with a number of known Anti-Gay pastors and called for the Anti-Gay bill to pass when it still included the DEATH PENALTY.
