Exporting homophobia to Africa is not a charitable purpose!!!
Is Africa on the road to a gay genocide?
As Rwanda reflects on 20 years since the death of a million of its citizens, a tide of anti-LGBTI hate is engulfing Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, DRC, South Africa and beyond...

Ugandan men to go on trial on homosexuality charges
Kim Mukisa and Jackson Mukasa face life imprisonment if found guilty in first such case since introduction of new anti-gay law...
Despite speaking in favour of the Anti-Homosexuality Act (then known as the "Kill the Gays" Bill as it still included the DEATH PENALTY) Cambridgeshire based evangelical Paul Shinners has made no apologies and has done nothing to reverse the effect his words have had on the Ugandan people. Even if he hadn't spoke in favour of the bill, he still attended an Anti-Gay rally dominated by the call to pass this draconian legislation. Paul's host on a number of visits Bishop David Kiganda is deeply involved in the Anti-Gay movement and is one of the main supporters of the legislation. Just to be associated with this vile man and his event is a disgrace and worthy of an apology.
Desmond Tutu equated the homophobia in Uganda to the antisemitism in Nazi Germany. Paul Shinners attended a rally on a par to a Nazi rally calling for the extermination of the Jews and he feels he has done nothing wrong and doesn't need to apologise.
Last February it seemed the bill would pass any day and Paul Shinners said that if I had contacted him sooner he could have used his influence to stop it. However, the bill didn't pass for almost a year and in that time he had done nothing to stop it.
Paul "Kill the Gays" Shinners must be stripped of his registered charity status and must apologise to the LGBT community in Uganda, the LGBT community in general and the people of St Neots who have unintentionally have helped fund his hate campaigns in Africa. He should also make reparations and help contribute to funds to help the people he persecuted to escape and find asylum where they won't be killed for who they are.
